The idea for Ex-cessories.com was conceived when the two founding members were spring cleaning. In the midst of a closet overhaul, one member’s past relationship was resurfaced with the discovery of jewelry, photographs, and other bits and pieces of an ex-boyfriend. Rather than completing the organizational task at hand, the day was ended over a bottle of wine and tears. The next logical step, or so she thought, was to grab a garbage bag and throw the past away. Soon after, these business savvy young women came to the realization that there was a profit to be made, and worked on the business plan throughout a 2-year MBA program at the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business- hence the conception of Ex-cessories.com.
